That's exactly what they are worth to most anymore. Especially after supporting a regime that did nothing more that say "Adios!" (appropriate) as we saw the largest exodus of American countries heading out of the US. All the Ibew is voluntary. There is plenty electrical related jobs that are non union if you don't want to work for a union shop.

I wrote a letter of recommendation for a friend of mines son so he can enter the communications apprenticeship, my buddy owns a non-union home remodeling company, the kid is working for him now and he would love to have the kid work for him but he knows where the kid can make more money at. I had another friend a non -union carpenter that just railed on unions, I wrote a letter for his son several years and he can't thank me enough for helping get his kid in the IBEW. The fact of the matter is that there is strength in numbers and that is why union employees make more money than there non-union counterparts. 2 hours ago, Dave said: Just cause an outfit isnt union doesnt mean they are scabs.....you sound like a typical goomba. All unions are uber beneficial huh, Ballsack? Then what seems to be the problem? Are you union? Are your people union? Oh I know. "ignore". And that way you don't have to answer my questions that always seem to show your hypocrisy, arrogance and ignorance. Not that you need questions from me for that though. SBYL. Non union retirement and health, vision and dental were better then union, pay was good but not as good as union. Really a wash in the end.
