Inside dogs vs outside dogs

Recommended Posts

this has nothing to do with dogs BUT... what's the deal with people who get home from work, that drive into the garage, close the door and are seldom seen outside of their residence?

there's a few new younger couples and families in our neighborhood and it's something I've consistently noticed people doing.

this time of the year I have no desire to be inside after being at work all day.  we're out grilling, doing yard work, hanging out with the old dog or doing something as much and as often as possible.

I just don't get it..  probably

They’re probably wondering why their neighbor is spying on them.

No, it’s definitely a thing.  We live on a private Dr. The younger people are never outside.  Garage door closed and blinds down. Younger people just have no desire to be social.  It is sad we don’t have that sense of community anymore.

I walk a big loop of my neighbourhhood every day and I always see the same people out and the same houses shuttered in, some are quite old but all the same I hear ya. Some are never out regardless of the weather.

High humidity sucks donkey balls

Yup it’s not the heat. It’s the humidity. Gets to the point that you feel like you’re wearing a garbage bag

go hang out in Palm Springs. 30c and like 12% humidity and you just feel like being outside

30c and 85% humidity and you just feel gross as shit

Nothing better than sitting on the deck having a couple beers as the sun sets as I'm doing now. Neighbors around here basically keep to themselves....but everyone has 5 to 10 acres + .....so really not many neighbors.  But yeah, I spend a lot of time outside but not in the heat of day.

On Saturdays we chill midday then go back to yard work after 5 or so

You strike me as the type concerned about the humidity and his hair... well, back hair

I'm on the front deck as we speak. Dog napping after his walk, wife playing in her flower gardens

maybe it's from growing up in a northern climate and enjoying being outside?

I'm sure that's part of it... or their gaming like a bunch of millennial nerds, rather than experiencing reality

Why don't you invite them over for for some grilled burgers?

:bc: Same

we were the young couple when we first moved here  . First load I was moving in my neighbor was waving a beer at me. All the neighbors would meet in his driveway after work and have a couple beers, talk about what ever was going on.  2008 hit, lot of people lost their jobs and homes. It’s never been the same. I am the last man standing. I have neighbors picture of all of us and I’m the only one still alive. Another couple moved in our age a few years back  . We get together with them almost every weekend. We tried to invite some young couples to hang out…..Have fire , some drinks, eat, and they have no interest.

I think that has a lot to do with it.  People want fake controlled conversations.  Not face to face real interaction.
