Crnr2Crnr
this has nothing to do with dogs BUT... what's the deal with people who get home from work, that drive into the garage, close the door and are seldom seen outside of their residence? there's a few new younger couples and families in our neighborhood and it's something I've consistently noticed people doing. this time of the year I have no desire to be inside after being at work all day. we're out grilling, doing yard work, hanging out with the old dog or doing something as much and as often as possible. I just don't get it.. probably

Cold War
No, it’s definitely a thing. We live on a private Dr. The younger people are never outside. Garage door closed and blinds down. Younger people just have no desire to be social. It is sad we don’t have that sense of community anymore. 2

Platinum Contributing Member ViperGTS/Z1 Posted July 11, 2023 Platinum Contributing Member Share Posted July 11, 2023 Nothing better than sitting on the deck having a couple beers as the sun sets as I'm doing now. Neighbors around here basically keep to themselves....but everyone has 5 to 10 acres + .....so really not many neighbors. But yeah, I spend a lot of time outside but not in the heat of day.

All the neighbors would meet in his driveway after work and have a couple beers, talk about what ever was going on. 2008 hit, lot of people lost their jobs and homes. It’s never been the same. I am the last man standing. I have neighbors picture of all of us and I’m the only one still alive. Another couple moved in our age a few years back . We get together with them almost every weekend. We tried to invite some young couples to hang out…..Have fire , some drinks, eat, and they have no interest.

People want fake controlled conversations. Not face to face real interaction. 2
