well it was fun while it lasted .

Yevgeny Prigozhin, head of the Wagner mercenary group, said his troops were reversing after they had advanced toward Moscow in a widely watched test of Russian President Vladimir Putin's authority.

"We will turn around our columns and leave in the opposite direction to the field camps, according to the plan," he said in an audio statement Saturday.

Prigozhin said he is ending his insurrection because the moment arrived when Russian "blood might be shed." After negotiations with Belarus’ authoritarian President Alexander Lukashenko, Prigozhin said he is reversing.

Earlier Saturday, Putin pledged "decisive actions" Saturday to halt what he described as a treasonous, armed rebellion by the Wagner group, whose insurrection had threatened to end Putin's 24-year rule. Prigozhin had vowed to "go all the way" to Moscow to topple Russia's military leadership.

Wagner never stood a chance. There’s a lot of open countryside between their location and Moscow. Russian air power would’ve chopped them into pieces. It’s great for Ukraine that Wagner is off the battlefield.

The low IQ left haven’t a clue when they’re cheering  on the Wagner insurrection

Wagner wants to obliterate Ukraine and the west and Putin won’t allow it because that’s not his goal. If Putin was overthrown by Wagner, Ukraine would be ashes within a month

You have to understand Russian history to understand why Putin is still in control there. Putin is the best leader that place has had in centuries. That’s a kill or be killed area and to judge Russia and Ukraine by western values is literally silliness.

Prigozhin told the truth when he announced that Ukraine and NATO was absolutely zero threat to Russia. That resonated with the Russian people. The war has been a Putin conquest.

Oh wow, someone else said that a year ago.

I don’t think so. The leader of Wagner thought the whole war was a dumb idea to begin with and has said so many times.

Linked on drudge, but reportedly Wagner did some damage in the day or so it was marching. There must have been some worry as they were digging up roads between Wagner and Moscow.

"Prigozhin's failed coup inflicted Russia's worst daily air force losses of the war with 39 pilots and crew reportedly killed by Wagner."

"The Russians are today reportedly seeking to cover-up the losses of up to 39 pilots and crew in a few hours. They allegedly included some of Russia's leading air force crew members with one account saying 20-plus combat pilots were killed"

"Putin allegedly lost six helicopters - including three Mi-8 MTPRs specialising in electronic warfare - as well as a sophisticated Il-22 plane used to conduct battle plans at high altitude, it is believed"
