Well you know this is dead on arrival. The question is why do it now? The Dems had majority for the last two years but now it is a problem?

Dems argued against Citizens United.  Hold your party accountable.  Why oppose the amendment if you really want to get dark money out of politics?  Otherwise you’re paying lip service to your hackery.

2017-2018 - why don’t Repugs pass a balanced budget amendment?  Or better yet - only pass balanced budgets instead of adding $7.8 trillion to it?

Dems govern.  Repugs perform.

More political bullshit just to try and get people like MC and snowbeavis to believe some narrative.  This is just so predictable and pathetic, but like I said, the idiots will fall for it.

You can't be serious when saying this? I mean all the impeachment performances by Nancy with the walking of the impeachment papers down the hall, the impeachment pen display and give away, Nancy's ripping of the speech, AOC's fake crying at the border fence, AOC's fake hand cuffing at the Roe protest. Nothing faker than the performances the Dems put on for the simple minded to gobble up..

Democrats are born with an extra chromosome for such instances.

Public Citizen Supports Bipartisan Constitutional Amendment to Overturn Citizens United

https://www.citizen.org/news/bipartisan-constitutional-amendment-to-overturn-citizens-united-introduced/

One Repug

WASHINGTON, D.C. — U.S. Reps. Ted Deutch (D-Fla.), Jim McGovern (D-Mass.), Jamie Raskin (D-Md.) and John Katko (R-N.Y.) today reintroduced a bipartisan constitutional amendment to get big money out of politics and restore democratic power to the American people.

The Democracy for All Amendment (H.J.Res. 1) affirms the right of states and the federal government to pass laws that regulate spending in elections, reversing the concentration of political influence held by the wealthiest Americans and large corporations capable of spending billions of dollars in our elections. This legislation comes on the 11th anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court’s disastrous ruling in the Citizens United case, which gave corporations and America’s wealthiest individuals the ability to corrupt our elections and undermine our democracy.

Cosponsors include Reps. Nanette Barragan (D-Calif.), Joy Beatty (D-Ohio.), Suzanne Bonamici (D-Ore.), Brendan Boyle (D-Pa.), Val Demings (D-Fla.), Ruben Gallego (D-Ariz.), Jahana Hayes (D-Conn.), Alan Lowenthal (D-Calif.), Stephen Lynch (D-Mass.), Chris Pappas (D-N.H.), Dean Phillips (D-Minne), Chellie Pingree (D-Maine.) and Norma Torres (D-Calif.)

In the 116th Congress, the Democracy for All Amendment had 221 bipartisan cosponsors.

Jayapal Introduces Constitutional Amendment to Reverse Citizens United, End Corporate Personhood

The We the People Amendment makes it clear that corporations are not people and money is not speech by specifying that the rights provided by the Constitution are for people — not corporations. The joint resolution also works to get big money and special interests out of politics after the most expensive campaign in American history.

As with most issues - Repugs are dragging their feet on real change.  And the ignorance of their supporters is almost comical

But that reality is lost on many voters. Citizens United has become too polarized. John Katko of New York is the only Republican member of Congress signed onto any campaign finance reform amendment proposal. Much of that is due to Mitch McConnell’s leadership within his party. But that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t also look at holes in the advocacy for an amendment.

That doesn’t mean we should expect an amendment to pass through this House or Senate. It won’t. We need to understand that this is a long-term project. But no matter how long it takes, bipartisan support is essential. The push for a campaign finance reform amendment among Congressional Republicans can follow a similar trajectory to the fight for same-sex marriage, by steadily gaining support over time. In 2009, only 21 percent of Republicans supported same-sex marriage, but in less than a decade, that more than doubled to 47 percent
