Welcome to the club Tesla every manufacturer has been sued for bs mpg ratings.

Yes...but this is specific to our conversations on cold weather. The local apologist have been blaming the user for not conditioning the battery...seems too wide spread for that.

But Tesla leads the market in battery tech. Also, no issues with the raw materials that they are using, how the build the batteries or how the next generation of batteries is pretty much on hold because of, you guessed it, never fucking ending supply chain issues.

Solar and wind farms for everyone!!!

Had or has???  Didn’t think dealers were allowed to sell vehicles with active and unresolved recalls.

I thought it said in the video it had all the recalls done that’s why it was so old but new cause they waited forever to get it fixed so they got the 5k less 23 pricing

That car has no history. Looks to be unsold

TFL said they bought it and the recalls had been performed.  I don’t believe dealers if they are being legit can sell a recalled vehicle.  Seems like the manufacturer/dealer would be taking on a liability that would get pretty expensive for them.

a buddy went to trade in his Ram ecodiesel and the Ram dealer wouldn’t accept it other then offering an extremely low price on trade cause they couldn’t sell it cause they can’t get parts for it on some recall.  Said they would have to sit on it until they could get the recalled parts.

Appears to be illegal for dealers to sell recalled cars…. New is cut and dry, and it appears a used car if sold the dealer always loses in a lawsuit if they sell you a recalled car.

Bolt issue is fixed I think. Supplier swapped a component in the bat to lower quality part. I think it was LG.

Dosent lg supply tesla?

Tesla is Panasonic mainly but a little of LG here and there.  Tesla also has their own battery production plant for its new battery cells that are in the model Y, Tesla semi, and upcoming cyber truck…. The 4680 cell.  I think Giga Texas will have its own Tesla made battery cells.  Elon wants raw materials coming in one side of the plant and vehicles spit out the other side and it’s how they are building their factories to work.

manufactures that use cylindrical cells are typically the start ups…  Tesla, Lucid, Rivian….

Standard range teslas and the station battery mega packs have the prismatic cells…..  most Chinese EV’s use prismatic cells.  They are typically LFP and colbalt free so no Congo miners needed.  BMW use prismatic as well but they are switch to Teslas 4680 cylindrical.

Almost everybody else like GM use pouch cells…..  Ford, vw, kia, Hyundai…  But VW group is switch to prismatic.

here is an article on Teslas battery cells they use.

They do but they don’t. Gm has fucked around with evs for a long time but never really did anything with it. Now that they are going full bore with every other big auto manufacturers I think Tesla will get smoked going forward. Tesla does not have the manufacturing capacity the major auto manufacturers do. That will be their down fall.

Yes on the manufacturing ability. No on supplies. 2023 is going to be a VERY telling year. I don’t think you’re going to see the large continued all EV push from manufacturers other than Tesla. The reality of the supply chain issues that still seem to be fucking the auto industry are going to have to be dealt with.
