Wind turbine market is red hot!! The race to roll out 'super-sized' wind turbines is on

my area just had a 162 windmill farm proposed to be built in the near future.

theres been lots for and lots against it here locally. the purpose is to use it to power a hydrogen / amonia plant they want to build here as well.

we definitely got the wind for it, but alot are up in arms over the property values that apparently drop by having these in close proximity among other concerns.

others are excited because they see it as a chance at a job.

im kinda indifferent except for the route may interfere with long used atv/snowmobile trails that maybe fenced off over this.

that would suck.

The climate freaks don't care about all the birds chopped up by these :dunno:

Who gives a fuck about birds.  Logging and strip mining coal destroys habitat.  Wind and Solar are the cheapest form of electricity production

Loggers plant trees when they are done removing standing timber, its usually 3 trees to every 1 they take down..Now when they clear cut an area for solar farms and wind mills nothing is planted to replace what they removed..

I can't think of anywhere I've seen windmills put in a forest.

I like some birds. Swallows eat tons of mosquitos.

You can't be serious saying they're the cheapest... smfh.

Cant really do that with spent nuke fuel.  Turbine blades are cheap to bury comparatively speaking.

Pretty sure the massive storage mine is built and paid for .

Then predator birds that keep rodent populations under control too.

Libs are a scourge ... :flush:

Birds get caught in plane engines, fly into buildings.  Hell I have a big bay window on my house and birds quite often fly into it and either die or get knocked out pretty good.

But not in use.  Trump didn’t even want to continue exploring yucca mountain…. He refused to restart it.  Right now Nuke fuel is stored on site and requires maintenance from time to time and will for ever as storage facilities age.

I'm sure they do, was just saying I didn't recall seeing any in my travels. I'm not the most observant person though sometimes.

How "Green" is this??? Biggest scam ever bestowed on man!

Locals Worry Wind and Solar Will Gobble Up Forests and Farms.

“We have big multinational solar companies coming and cutting down forests,” said Jane Winn, executive director of the Berkshire Environmental Action Team, a nonprofit in the state. “They're not doing a good job of it, so they're allowing erosion into wetlands. We're trying to connect our forests so wildlife can move, and they're in there fragmenting it.”

The issue is the regulations on transporting . Not the acctual storage it self .

You know govenment spend billions on a storage facility then ban transporting what you built the facility for .all govenments  in a  Nut shell right there
