Texas is already the No. 1 state in the the US with the most wind energy capacity. And now it’s catching up to No. 1 California in utility-scale solar capacity.

Texas has the largest nuclear power plant as well.

Well diversified and forward thinking. That honor belongs to AZ.

Yea I would still pick Texas. They do everything plus they have their own ISO and they pump oil and gas.

20% of their power comes from wind. Now with the mega lithium battery farms they can store electricity generated by wind and that percentage will go even higher. They really are leaving the rest of the country in the dust for power generation, diversification, and forward thinking.

Just a coincidence...but as some of the narrative pushers are trying to say, FORWARD THINKING.  He really got his panties in a bunch over my wind energy post.

Not sure what your point is but their NG Plants froze up as well.

Yea well we had a storm here a few years ago that put most of CT,MA, and NY,NJ out for a few weeks. The grid has issues all over.

I don't think he understands that there have been blackouts before.

I love how they are comparing TX to CA.  California has to have rolling blackouts because of their ineffective power capabilities.

Here in Texas and also in Wisconsin. They use existing open land.

Not here in NY, beautiful meadow right up the road from me, solar farm to supply power to an small economic diversity apartment complex.. all that dark green to the right of northern Blvd is now a solar farm

Texas didn't winterize their wind farms, they cheapest out on that part and it cost them. It's a southern climate but they still get winter storms. Kinda dumb.

We have sever large wind farms about an hour south of me and haven't heard of any disruptions. Midwestern engineering ftmfw!

Probably a privately owned piece of land that the owner got a sweet deal for some passive income. Kind of like chopping down a shit load of tress to put up an apartment complex or NG plant.

It's insanity. All these alarmists crying climate change/global warming yet are OK with massive amounts of forests/wildlife being razed/ruined just so they can put up solar and wind farms. I never imagined in my life people could be so easily brainwashed.

Farmers in Wisconsin are making a killing by leasing out unused farm land to solar.
