I mean, it's pretty fucking simple.

You either like massive debt propping up an illusory economy, or you don't.

Do you like it racer? Zderpski? Woolie Magoo? HM?

You guys must love all this debt because you're tacitly endorsing it by demonstrating opposition to rising aggregate wages, right?

It's a weird stance to take given that, traditionally, "conservatives" have opposed massive debt...

And you talk about people putting words in your mouth......who the fuck says we like the massive debt?  Who the fuck said we oppose rising aggregate wages?  I didn't see any pictures of you breaching the capital or carrying any signs on 1/6?  I don't see you running for office so you can change this "evil" system.  Is your form of protest involve damaging private or public property?  I take the position of having to learn how to navigate, compete and succeed in this economy, by the rules, realities and challenges facing all of us.  Washington is all that.  Some chose to be apathetic, lie on the couch, some choose to exceed, succeed and bite of our piece.  I've been successful at that, despite set backs, like we all have to confront.  I'm not down with tearing this system all apart, or taking something from someone else.  My signature indicates how I feel about these losers without a clue who think they're smarter and more woke than the rest of us.

Racer in an economic conversation

Oh look, the market expert is in.  You are still mad about how others on this forum make you look idiotic, that is why this form of calling someone out is always your go to response.  Get over it dude. DERP, but racer DERP.  You will always find people more intelligent in areas you are not.  I am sure you can now point out the different species of hardwood better than me.   You are finally doing something now that you seem happy with at your level.  Stay with it, don't dabble in areas that cause you financial distress.

Don't deflect with irrelevancies.

If you aren't opposed to rising aggregate wages, why do you and others continue to make emotional merit-based arguments against workers making more money?

OMG you are entirely missing everything he said.  To the rest of us, you are the one arguing about people making more money.  As you seem to be against people who make more than minimum wage.

You clearly have a lack of understanding of what I'm actually talking about. I would advise you to bow out of this conversation.

Seriously?   Do you not know the difference between natural rising wages and the govt forcing wages on the free market?  Goes back to the same argument....if $15 is good isn't $50 better?   I mean govt setting wages has no inflationary or other negative impacts.

What difference does it make when the government is already manipulating every aspect of economic function???

College kids, work program kids, and of course, the ones that never seemed to figure out.  Let’s not forget the low/no skilled labor pool.  Never any shortage of those.

But here’s the deal you and yours never figure out, many of these companies pay a decent pay wage for those that show ambition.  My daughter’s boss at McDonalds years ago was a HS drop out and at 21, was making close to 30k.

shit i know many people working at grocery stores for example where they have barely a HS education and are making 60-70k because they work hard and advance.  losers stay in positions where they make minimal money,  motivated advance.

This isn't a free market. Stop with the delusion. The market has been manipulated for 40 years. It's odd that just now you're opposed to market manipulation that benefits workers rather than businesses.

More emotional merit-based argument. Can you make an objective argument as to why workers shouldn't make more across the economy?

That's what's happening right now, buddy. Wake up. I've provided lots of facts, you're getting called names because you choose to remain ignorant. That's dipshit behavior.

40 years of stagnant wages, massive debt, and concentration of wealth have created the largest gap between the rich and poor in the history of this country.

You are in complete denial of reality. Stop with the fairy tales and deal with it.

100% true Moto.  There is no left of right, just people vs the oligardes.  That is the people that can see through it.

Dude I've been against it the entire time....do you pay attention?   Even with the current manipulation I'll take it over what you want.  There is no utopia for all.  Never a time in human history has anything but free market capitalism brought more people out of poverty, even manipulated versions of it.

Honest question.   How much has govt helped you or held you back?   I'm not saying its not there and I'd love to remove as much govt from every aspect of our lives as possible.

I think too many get confused when people defend the part of free market capitalism we have left.  You think we are defending the entire system.   We are not.

Do you want to preserve capitalism? Because I'm telling you how to do so.

Continuing wage stagnation will only lead to what you think that I want and what you fear the most, which is a socialist revolution.

market sets the pay.  you want the gov to interfere and raise that which raises prices for all putting inflationary pressure that would further erode real wages in a never ending cycle.

Four decades of manipulation is not going to correct itself. The only thing that can fix it is more manipulation on the demand side. The supply side has benefited for 40 years, it's time workers got some as well. It's the only way to right the wrongs of the last four decades.

If that were true, prices wouldn't have been rising steadily over the last 40 years with stagnant wages. Markets also set prices, and this market has been manipulated to generate rising prices. You clearly do not have a very deep understanding of economics.
