Shocking discovery (apparently). Plant life under Greenland Ice Sheet

Recommended Posts

Ice core samples from Greenland that were drilled a mile+ down through the ice into the earth substrate revealed what these scientists are calling a shocking discovery, that Greenland, quite recently on a geologic scale, housed a boreal forest.  This means that due to natural earth cycles, Greenland has melted before as a totally normal occurrence.

1.  I thought they already knew this, or maybe the surprise is just how recent this was.

2.  But you still need to be super duper afraid that the planet might transition to a state similar to one with historical precedent.

I'm all for reducing emissions and pollution, but the MMGW religion just keeps pissing on our legs and tells us it's raining...

It’ll be interesting to see how the climate reacts if a non-linear event like the Siberian permafrost begins to melt.

Opens more land up for development is all.

So, as soon as science makes a unique discovery about plant life and fossils under the ice sheets/glaciers, which proves beyond a reasonable doubt that ice ages come and go and the climate is cyclical, out come the alarmists, to keep the sheep contributing to their money train, with "we are now causing these ice sheets/glaciers to melt. Oh, what fools will believe!

"The discovery helps confirm a new and troubling understanding that the Greenland Ice Sheet has melted entirely during recent warm periods in Earth's history -- like the one we are now creating with human-caused climate change"

Start a thread about finding millions of Trump votes in the permafrost.

I’m actually happy Trump lost. Biden and the democrats haven’t done one good thing for America or Americans since he took office. Biden’s message is still covid covid orange man bad.
