Just another time in history where a Democrat president has to clean up another republican mess.

They just pile more mess on top and try to make it look a little better by distracting you with the shiny object to your left instead of the shiny one on the right.

So all of those times you complained about the bailouts it had nothing to do with the debt?

Listen here pheasant choker, everybody should be outraged over bailing out bankers, something that never happened in this country before. Our debt has been around for a long time, go play gotcha somewhere else. :lmao:

On January 8, 1835, President Andrew Jackson achieves his goal of entirely paying off the United States' national debt. It was the only time in U.S. history that the national debt stood at zero, and it precipitated one of the worst financial crises in American history.

Over 22% of all US dollars were created in 2020. It will be interesting to see how the US and other countries handle the debt and inflation. This isn't just a US problem and our money is based solely on the belief that it has power. Our debt only matters if other countries think our debt matters.

So what? If the debt doesn't matter then there's nothing to be outraged about.

You're acting like the level of debt doesn't matter at all and that's simply not true. Our levels of debt(as a percentage of GDP) have only ever been this high right after WWII and the country was paying that down for 30 years before it started rising again. If the debt continues to rise like this and the US Dollar ceases to be the world's reserve currency, there's going to be alot of hurt going on.

Well, it depends on your perspective, I would have rather seen the bankers swan diving off New York buildings and the little guys get bailed out.

On the last bold...............BOO!!!!!! :lmao:

Why not just maintain a powerful military with technological superiority and if anyone doesn't want to play ball with our currency or try and come collect on some debt we just liberate them.

Almost all came because of covid. What did they add 6 trillion this year? They should’ve never shutdown

Not quite.  Donny said the debt could easily be paid off in 8 years.  What happened or do you believe him?
