The main harness can be a bitch too, pins have to line-up just right. Removed gravel pads and put them to maximum height. Strobe plugged in, put on roof. Connecting the control unit, mounted on dash. Outside, ready to go. And the final crowning victory...................a 5-D-Cell Maglite, waiting for some wise-asse's bungholio!! WTF not Fischer? XCR1250
I've had 2 Fishers, 3 Westerns, and 1 Hinicker, I have to say that the Fishers weren't as good as the others but they might be better now as I had them in the 1960's and early 70's. So far the Hinicker has been flawless and I've had it since about 2000.

You'd need to put a gun to my head to take this BOSS from me. 6 years of pounding, and it's still goin' strong. Me personally, I think it's one of the best plows made. Platinum Contributing Member Shifty Posted December 6, 2020 Platinum Contributing Member Share Posted December 6, 2020 (edited) There was a manhole at the hospital I used to plow, unless you went over it just right it went badly. One night I hit it so fucking hard it snapped every bolt on that cutting edge but one.Luckily I had some spares in the shop. Another night when snow blowing the sidewalks at a slightly higher speed than recommended, safety third! I caught an edge and stopped the enclosed cab tractor dead. I hit my big dome on the wiper motor and literally knocked my self out cold. Good times. Edited December 6, 2020 by Shifty

That's EXACTLY what my bud said when he was plowing streets. No wonder he moved to FLORIDA, and has a pool in the lanae, while we're up here dickin' with plows, and snow. There were two small springs that retain the main pins until they contact and slide through. One of them was hanging-up. Couple of shots of WD-40, and I was off and runnin' in 5 minutes. Guest
STORM STATUS UPDATE: 10;50 P.M , 12/05/20............... Some wind, but no lines down Snow accumulation about 4" Still light snow, but major storm appears to have moved east. I will most-likely just wait for it to completely end, and just hit it once tomorrow in the daylight. I think we dodged the bullet. I know the pic sucks, flash would not light up enough. Final pics coming tomorrow. Edited December 6, 2020 by Guest

Try something like JB-80.
