Yeah back to the time when one earner incomes were all it took to own a home, car and afford a family?

what about it. Are Americans entitled to great paying factory jobs that require no education forever just because they were lucky enough to be in a position to capitalize from the post war economic boom for a 35 year period?

There were plenty of poor people back then too. America has never had a shortage of poor people. Yet Liberals want to import more.

Poverty and thus, dependence on the government, can be imported.

Votes.  They need votes!

“We answer these two questions and identify low-wage workers using the Census Bureau’s 2012-2016 American Community Survey 5-year Public Use Microdata Sample. The large sample size from five years of pooled data allows us
to conduct relatively detailed analysis at the regional level: We profile low-wage workers at the national level and within 373 metropolitan areas. However, there is a trade-off with timeliness,
and our data do not allow us to capture the
most recent wage trends.”

Good point.  Really good.  Sadly, the point on MC's neck missed it all.

Your racism can’t see beyond borders I guess

your definition of poverty is a narrow minded racist one

No dummy, it's rooted in the reality that poor is a relative term. Labor isn't mobile like capital. You can't work in America and then live in the Philippines.

The racist alt left doesn’t like comparing it because “poverty” in North America isn’t true poverty. It’s overall comfortable, not considering things like homelessness by choice. True poverty exists elsewhere, and you racist liberals would rather piss glass than help anyone yourselves

It worked then and it can now.

44% of working Americans are low wage workers......it’s amazing really.

nothing amazing about it. The 'average' American barely has enough ability to tie their own shoes.

That’s correct

left to their own devices most of them would just die in a gutter somewhere, and quickly. The fact they can live comfortably in “poverty” is a testament to capitalism

There's good paying jobs out there for people willing to go the extra mile and make sacrifices.

Most aren't willing to do that.

Best time to be a young person with a great work ethic.  Very little competition. Spent the weekend in Florida with my daughter and her friends.  They are Coming into the work force making money in their 20’ s my generation or boomers never dreamed of.

Anecdotes don't outweigh statistics.

Millennials, which are basically all adults under 40, are broke, have no assets, rent their homes, and are trying to just survive in a climate of stagnant wages and rising prices.

Everyone is dying for young people who want to work.  Sorry it doesn’t fit your narrative.

I have 3 millennial children. They are all married, live in nice homes that they bought, are saving for their retirement, are saving for their kids college, all receive annual COLA, all receive performance/production bonuses.

Try not to pigeonhole all Millennials into your idea of utopia.

Your anecdotes are irrelevant, but thanks

My millennial daughter is 1.5 years away from a 100k a year nursing degree and owns two homes already at 25.

Wanna guess how many of her peers are butthurt jealous but won’t do a damn thing to help themselves?
