Northern Wisconsin lakes freezing up.

I was just saying it’s been years since our pond froze up before any snow.  Looks like. 3-4 inches thick now.  A good freeze up before snow really helps get the trails up and running.in out swampy areas.  Highs in the teens next week....time for some snow soon!

Glad I drained the inside water and put -50 in the tank / traps 2 weeks ago.  I might head up next weekend for a few days.  Heard we iced over a few days ago.

Our lake is solid white.

17f this morning in Jackman, but it won’t stay below freezing for a while.
