Woodsman
With Remembrance/Veterans day quickly approaching I was wonder who he has served and who also has a family service history? I served for 13 years with The Royal Canadian Regiment. And my father served in the merchant marines during WW2 and in Korea with the PPCLI, being one of 6 on the last WIA list for Canada during Korea. Survived these injuries. Also a great uncle was KIA on 05 May 1917 in France. Pro Patria 3

Mainecat
Just spoke to my Aunt Ethel. She was a nurse at Pearl Harbor the day the Japs attacked us. She just celebrated her 100th birthday. My 8 uncles and 2 aunts and my dad served in WWII. Thanks to every veteran for their service. God Bless them. irv
I've had a few family members who have fought in wars, including my great uncle who fought in WW1. He was a casualty of a mustard gas attack by the Germans. It did not kill him but caused him brain damage; hence the honorable discharge from the army. Another Uncle of mine, from Big Sandy Tennessee, fought in the Korean war. I also had a distant relative, through marriage, who was killed on the last day of WW2. He was riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle when it hit a land mine.
