BOLD is wrong it is about one helicopter ride nothing more - try facts

Both the Conflict of Interest Act and Trudeau’s own ethics guidelines bar the use of sponsored travel in private aircraft, allowing only for exceptional circumstances related to the job of prime minister and only with the prior approval of the ethics commissioner.

Interim Conservative leader Rona Ambrose took a Caribbean vacation on a billionaire’s yacht around the time members of her caucus were criticizing Trudeau for vacationing on with the Aga Khan, but she insists she followed all the rules.

holy fuck 02ool

and Canada has been doing climate funding in Africa for decades, I just posted that harper wsa doing it - dummy

God damn it Fail you are stupid beyond belief. What part of conflict of interest can't you understand. You can take a vacation and accept any gift from ANYONE WHO DOES NOT DO BUSINESS WITH OR BENEFIT FROM YOUR EMPLOYER OR YOUR ROLE IN YOUR JOB.

Trudope as PM should not be accepting ANYTHING AS A GIFT, helicopter ride, vacation on a private island or anything else from someone who benefits from Canadian taxpayer money.

Just because you say Harper was giving 3rd world countries money for climate change doesn't make it any more accurate than any of the other things you dreamed up in your head and posted. Then as always you are using your standard deflection protocol.

Don't forget... next time your boss tells you that you did something badly at work be sure to tell him it's okay to do things wrong in your job because Steve did the same thing.

I just caught an update on Trudopes Syrian refugees on the news. They talked to the fathers of two of his first batch of refugees. Through translators of course since they still don't speak English. They both are happy to be in Canada and thankful to the government. They are thankful for the full year of the feds paying for everything, food, clothing, medical care and housing. Now one family is living on welfare in social housing. The other is currently collecting EI after having a job for the minimum 20 weeks required to be eligible to collect EI. They too are living in social housing. When asked how they are doing on learning English.... they are picking it up here and there from their friends but not taking any classes.

Of course Trudope believes these are going to be significant contributors to the Canadian economy and society.

dummy CANADA has given money for decades to Africa for climate change - its not a partisan thing like you keep trying to make it out to be with you uninformed mind.

02sled do you know what the deal is with Aga Khan foundation?  do you know what it does?

are you angry at the deal signed by Harper?  as Trudeau has nothing to do with the signing of funding which has been in place for a very long time

16742.jpg?itok=14hw3HkY

Read the conflict of interest laws where it states about FRIENDS OF THE FAMILY .......  besides that no one is gaining from this trip no Aga nor Trudeau nor Canada

ZERO CONFLICT in the real world

Under the terms of the agreement, the Government of Canada will contribute C$30 million towards the establishment of the Centre’s endowment fund. The Aga Khan will contribute a minimum of C$30 million toward the endowment and the refurbishing of the former Canadian War Museum, which the Government is making available on a long-term lease to serve as the Centre’s global headquarters.

Registered under Canadian law as a non-denominational, bilingual, non-profit organization, the Centre will be guided by an independent Board of Directors made up of leading Canadians and high-profile individuals from around the world. The Board will be jointly constituted by the Aga Khan Development Network and the Government of Canada. His Highness the Aga Khan will lead the Board as Chairman

There is no bad in what is happening, NONE

Can you report on the other 50k that have come here as refugees?  what are they doing?  I would be interested in your findings

My question is this, if the Aga Khan is so fucking rich, why does the Canadian gov't donate to his foundation?

No different than Bono shilling for donations yet we never hear of him doing anything to help.

Go ahead Fail.. come up with your success story... and you need to have more than one. How about you come up with the total number that are still living on the taxpayer dime. You shouldn't have a problem doing that while "working" on the taxpayer dime.

lol never helping :lmao:  The list of helping is massive if you take the time to find out.

Why do you CONS always bash charity foundations at all levels?   I know conservatives never give in this way but why bash others that do?

Just in the last years

AKFC’s Improving Maternal, Newborn and Child Health project works in Bamyan and Badakhshan, Afghanistan. In F2015, GAC reports that it finished the construction of the first phase of the Bamyan Provincial Hospital, a 120-bed hospital, which is more than 80% completed. GAC also reports that 19,854 individuals suffering from malnutrition received treatment, and that 193,801 men, women and children received training on water, hygiene, sanitation and nutrition.

Beginning in 2014, AKFC’s education program has been working on a five-year project to strengthen pre-primary and primary education systems in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda. This project has so far built 850 community libraries, 100 early childhood development centres, educated 2,800 parents on the importance of reading with their children, trained 4,000 parents and community members on how to improve education quality in their schools, and 2,318 education leaders were trained to support and mentor teachers. These results have so far benefited over 340,000 children, teachers, school administrators, parents, and community members.

AKFC’s education program has also been supporting education for girls and women in Afghanistan since 2008 using what the charity calls a “collaborative whole school improvement approach”. This program has so far enabled over 175,000 Afghan girls to be able to attend school.

I believe 50% of all private sponsored refugees are working and only 10% of all Government sponsored are working after one year.

No doubt it would be tough moving to a completely different country and not speak the language.......

Biggest difference is privately sponsored refugees have a better helping hand finding work than someone left to do it by themselves.

Its not all bad 02sled - These young kids will grow up in a great country with many opportunities, Canada doing what it has done for 150 years

Mr. Edwards, who is also co-owner of the Calgary Flames, is ranked as the 30th richest person in Canada by Canadian Business magazine, with a net worth estimated at $2.96-billion. He is also chairman of the board of Canadian Natural Resources Ltd., which lobbies the federal government. But a spokeswoman for Ethics Commissioner Mary Dawson said that since Ms. Ambrose is an MP and not a minister, she only has to adhere by the conflict of interest code, not the act. The code allows MPs to accept gifts that could not be seen to influence them in their positions, such as those from family and friends, and do not have to disclose such gifts. Ms. Ambrose told the Ethics Commissioner Mr. Veitch has been friends with Mr. Edwards for 33 years. Through a company spokeswoman, Mr. Edwards declined to comment.

:lmao:  ONEWAY say what? nothing :lmao:

really guys how the fuck can you be so blind and ONEWAY?  is really sad

Hilarious. Yes immigrants have been coming here for 150 years but they sure as hell haven't been getting the free handouts that the government is giving them today. My grandfather immigrated from England to Canada after WW1. Nobody gave him anything. He had virtually nothing in savings and everything he got was through hard work. He would have refused handouts... that was the way people were back then. They had pride.

My wife's father immigrated to Canada from Poland after WW2. Didn't speak English but worked as a labourer on farms in the Saskatoon area. His work got him a bed and food and a few cents a day left over. He too earned everything he got. No free handouts.

Here's some numbers for you on refugees under Trudopes watch

Capture1.thumb.JPG.73a986105b43b76b880fe5d5d72a0a8a.JPG

Half of the adult Syrian refugees are still unemployed and a financial burden to Canada. Only approximately 9,000 have managed to find work.

In 2016-17, $900 million was dedicated to language training for all newcomers, with $30 million set aside specifically for the influx of Syrian refugees, said parliamentary secretary to the immigration minister, Arif Virani.

Last month, Ottawa added another $18 million and 7,000 seats for language training in an effort to help the Syrians

HOW MANY DID YOU SPONSOR FAIL... YOU BELIEVE IT'S SUCH A GOOD THING YOU SHOULD BE HEAD OF THE LINE TO SPONSOR A FAMILY

You do realize back in the day anyone could work anywhere?  there wasn't any kind of visa or status blah blah - and everybody here has the same story when their family came here.   Times are different incase you haven't noticed.

Canada averages 8k-10k refugees sponsored by our Government every year - yes Trudeau stepped it up for political gains and to save 10's thousands of lives from syria

Funny how the ONEWAYS wake up  to all this once Cons are out of power

Sure but whoever sponsored the person was responsible for that person.  Was also responsible for shipping them back home when they choose not to work.

You do realize the refugees Trudope brought in can work anywhere as well. :nuts2:

Stepped it up is a vast understatement. From 8,000 to 10,000 per year Trudope took it to 40,000 = 20,000 per year from Syria alone. Of course there weren't any other people around the world who needed to be saved just as much as the Trudope pet project. Or perhaps even more. Lots of people around the globe are living in even worse conditions.

yes agreed and the reason  today we sponsor refugees - something done since the 60's

I would still be on board to have not allowed 02sleds parents in - if we are to cut entry that wouldn't have been a great place to have started

i agree we need the people to do the work, just don't agree with the way the government is going about it, how can a family that's been waiting for yrs get pushed out because we allow refugees to come across a border where there is no threat
