What happened to anyone who questioned the war that Bush and Cheney were providing false intelligent for and Fox was cheerleading?

I'm betting that the same people dumb enough to vote for Bush after the lies were obvious and later vote for Trump would ruin the careers of any politician that didn't stand behind the President at a time of war. Right wing infotainment was firmly behind the war. Anyone disagreeing would have been viewed as a traitor.

But even if all of these people believed on their own that Saddam had WMD's not based on the false intelligence reports that Bush and Cheney provided, who is to say, they would put boots on the ground. Clinton wiped out their WMD's for 4 years with only two weeks of bombing. What was the cost? How many US soldiers died or were wounded?

Later with the same situation, Obama took out Gaddafi without losing any soldiers in battle. Who could imagine he would have such terrible luck as to let the 4 most important Americans die in the aftermath of that attack? Those four were more important than 10's of thousands of wounded and injured coalition soldiers and 100's of thousands of civilians according to Republican reactions.

It’s not that they “aren’t supposed to”, they aren’t allowed.

Once a field commander reaches a full bird, he primarily becomes a political operative. His day to day hands on operations are limited. This is less the case with special warfare officers. The REAL ONES not the shit paraded in front of the media.
