Apparently the attacks started happening right after wikileaks' Twitter account posted pics of heavily armed police surrounding the Ecuadorian embassy. 

Looking like it's hackers responding to that photo. Wikileaks is asking their supporters to stop taking down the internet.

russia could probably do far more damage than shut down a few businesses. it is kinda cool how vulnerable some of this stuff is to a bunch of nerds with few cases of mountain dew. imagine if there was a full out cyber war?. the whole fucking thing would be shit. nobody would have to work. we'd all be at the beach.

the russian bear is 1000x less aggressive than the US ....how many times have russian troops conducted military exercises on our borders?
