You're fired!' America has already terminated Trump

The Mueller report looms but the president is doomed anyway – no one who screws the people so blatantly can win re-election

Robert Mueller’s soon-to-be-delivered report will begin months of congressional investigations, subpoenas, court challenges, partisan slugfests, media revelations, and more desperate conspiracy claims by Donald Trump, all against the backdrop of the burning questions: Will he be impeached by the House? Will he be convicted by the Senate? Will he pull a Richard Nixon and resign?

In other words, will America fire Trump? I have news for you. America has already fired him.

When the public fires a president before election day, as it did Jimmy Carter, Nixon and Herbert Hoover, they don’t send him a letter telling him he’s fired. They just make him irrelevant. Politics happens around him, despite him. He’s not literally gone but he might as well be.

It’s happened to Trump. The courts and House Democrats are moving against him. Senate Republicans are quietly subverting him. Even Mitch McConnell told him to end the shutdown.

The Fed is running economic policy. Top-level civil servants are managing day-to-day work of the agencies.

Isolated in the White House, distrustful of aides, at odds with intelligence agencies, distant from his cabinet heads, Trump has no system to make or implement decisions. His tweets don’t create headlines as before. His rallies are ignored. His lies have become old hat.

@Mainecat just remember that Trump was supposed to lose in 2016.

He did Vince. His victory won him his demise business wise and personal fame. He becomes baggage for the Russians after he is done, his name cooked so much so it’s worthless.

The Russia book is still open.

It was obviously a phony narrative from the beginning. I know you want it to be real because you hate trump, and still can’t believe he beat the queen. A lot of folks have this problem.

Asked you to take a bet the other day.  50 bucks says he wins re-election.  Cmon take the bet.

Isolated in the White House, distrustful of aides, at odds with intelligence agencies, distant from his cabinet heads, Trump has no system to make or implement decisions. His tweets don’t create headlines as before. His rallies are ignored. His lies have become old hat.

After his election, President Clinton tapped Labor Secretary Robert Reich to lead the effort to extract, as Mr. Reich put it in 1994 congressional testimony, "social, ancillary, economic benefits" from private pension investments. Mr. Reich called on pension funds to join the administration's "Economically Targeted Investment" effort. Housing and Urban Development Secretary Henry Cisneros assured participants that "pension investments in affordable housing are as safe as pension investments in stocks and bonds."

Six pension funds ultimately agreed to invest in public housing that was backed by $100 million in federal grants and guarantees, but the program never took off. In the end, even unions and their pension funds rejected the effort to direct any part of their retirement savings toward someone else's welfare.

The Clinton administration lost the battle to use pensions to fund low-income housing, but it succeeded in winning the war by drafting Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and the commercial banking system into the affordable-housing effort. It did so by exploiting a minor provision in a 1977 housing bill, the Community Reinvestment Act, that simply required banks to meet local credit needs.

Bank regulators began to pressure banks to make subprime loans. Guidelines became mandates as each bank was assigned a letter grade on CRA loans. Banks could not even open ATMs or branches, much less acquire another bank, without a passing grade—and getting a passing grade was no longer about meeting local credit needs. As then-Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan testified to Congress in 2008, "the early stages of the subprime [mortgage] market . . . essentially emerged out of the CRA."

I have stated many times here I don’t gamble.

Trump may not be the front runner for the repubs.

Lol his approval in the party is the highest of any modern R President. Quit buying whatever DUhUnderground is selling. He’s not going to have a real challenger.

Here is the truth: Trump’s baggage is in the open. Could there be more? Sure, but will it matter? No. Everyone’s mind is made up. So if he banged a couple more pornstars, got a handy behind Sandy’s, or paid off some whistleblower, no one will change their mind.

Whomever the Dem candidate is though... That person needs a unified front. Any and every personal mistake will just be one more vote lost. The Dems cant lose any votes. Anyone who thinks the Dems have it locked up or can run some “pretend” socialist who only is saying they are because it is the Dem flavor of the moment is delusional.

If they don’t run a moderate, Trump wins again.

What's a moderate? Which Dem candidates could be described as such?
