Internal and chassis parts are going to be hard to find,  a bar or chain will always be available,.. IMO it's maybe a $200 saw in today's market.. if your just doing the occasional cutting go buy a Ego CS1604 battery saw..

Completely agree. Although I wouldn't worry to much about getting internal parts. I have the same saw and have used the shit out of it. Never had an issue. Getting to be time for a new one with a little more power. I'm just giving it to my cheap buddy in VT who has a bunch of barely running poulans.

I go with a bud of mine cutting in the bush here and there . I have 2 18" poulins . One I scored at the dump last year . Needed a carb rebuild ,good as new . Chain is even mint . My other I bought new 10 years ago, did the carb on it twice ,3 chains,1 bar .. bud is always harrasing ne that I own a poulin, but I've had no big issues.  I'd buy another.  Good enough for what I do

I have a 445 and a 460 . Amazed at how much more of a saw the 460 is.

Yeah, I gave my old 550 to a kid that helped me clear the lot.  It was a beast.  I keep a sharp blade in this lil’ guy and can one hand it all day long.  But for big trees?  Yeah...it can do it but that 550 would eat!

That's quite the pile. I'm just finishing off the 3 cords we had since fall. Another few months and Ill truck in some more

I’ve got three of those double row piles around plus a half dozen with 8 footers stacked.  Still burning through my clearing piles but that storm we got a couple years ago took out about 40 fifty footers!  Fucking nice trees too!!!  DRAT!!!!  Most this will rot before I can get to it.

My 555 would cut through your saw, your tailgate, and keep on going through an 18" oak :owned:

Found this in the woods near me. Still has compression. I don’t have to cut that many trees. Most of the locals have hungry outdoor boilers. I simply ribbon the trees I want down and put the word out. Got rid of 5 tamaracks last week this way. Guy must be really low on wood, when he is willing to cut down junk wood?

Ohhhh, trust me, I laughed when one was put in my hand, they really are awesome for the home owner who is looking to maintain their property.

170 cuts through a 6" log on a charge...

Well, it was just a quick impromptu moment.  I didn’t stage anything, just thought it would be kinda funny.  I currently only own one chainsaw and one weed whacker so, to try and compete with Uncle, I’d be behind before I got started.
