At Least 6 White House Advisers Used Private Email Accounts

WASHINGTON — At least six of President Trump’s closest advisers occasionally used private email addresses to discuss White House matters, current and former officials said on Monday.

The disclosures came a day after news surfaced that Jared Kushner, the president’s son-in-law and adviser, used a private email account to send or receive about 100 work-related emails during the administration’s first seven months. But Mr. Kushner was not alone. Stephen K. Bannon, the former chief White House strategist, and Reince Priebus, the former chief of staff, also occasionally used private email addresses. Other advisers, including Gary D. Cohn and Stephen Miller, sent or received at least a few emails on personal accounts, officials said.

Ivanka Trump, the president’s elder daughter, who is married to Mr. Kushner, used a private account when she acted as an unpaid adviser in the first months of the administration, Newsweek reported Monday. Administration officials acknowledged that she also occasionally did so when she formally became a White House adviser. The officials spoke on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the matter with reporters.

While the private email accounts spurred accusations of hypocrisy from Democrats, there are differences. Mrs. Clinton stored classified information on a private server, and she exclusively used a private account for her government work, sending or receiving tens of thousands of emails. The content and frequency of the Trump advisers’ emails remain unknown, but Trump administration officials described the use of personal accounts as sporadic. The emails have not been made public.

Well lets make them public and see what's what then. Trump railed on Hillary for her misuse of the system and for him not to reprimand any of his staff doing anything even remotely close is ridiculous

I agree with this, but to compare this in order to make them look the same as democrats right now is still idiotic IMO.  But that's what they want to do so that in years to come democrats can say that both sides do it.....you see that argument here from the liberals almost daily.

If it's just grocery lists, chain mails and political jokes being passed around then there's no comparison but if they actually are passing on classified content through unsecured channels then any of them caught doing so need to be dealt with harshly IMO.

The liberals want everyone to think that all that matters now is that they used private emails....and that is the same as sending classified information.

point #1 - all the rww heads exploded about this topic of communications before the subject of classified info even came up. regardless of where the communications resided off the gov radar, whether it was a private server, or secret e-mail account, it was indeed off the radar. so please, spare us your "if it was classified, then blah blah blah" BS you're throwing around now to try and save yourselves some hypocrisy. it still stands.

#2. Hillary didn't send any classified information at the time she sent it. some was deemed classified later. none of it was a big deal

#3. what Hillary did was not much different than what others had been doing prior, including the bushes, Romney, condi rice, etc.

#4. the trump admin doing it, AFTER all the crying and moaning about e-mails for over a year, is MUCH worse.  they're either completely dumb, arrogant, or both. so again, please, jyst fucking admit that and be done with it.

If any classified information was involved they should be fired and prosecuted.   Do you agree MC Hillary should have been prosecuted?
