Not but it certainly should've helped....but it didn't.

Exactly because he was not a leader.  A weak excuse of a man only good for the odd flowery speech and good press. A figurehead with nothing to contribute except getting rich at the end of his tenure.

Nope but it's an excuse for not breaking the cycle. Easier to blame racism of the past than to improve going forward. People like you do a disservice to the black community with this bullshit.

Certainly.  To continue on with the "white people class" paradigm will not solve the problem, and is the reason it hasn't been solved already.

but that's my point. He was supposed to heal the divide. But in reality the divide was recreated and pushed on us all as a decried narrative and that failed miserably. Now racism is being used as nothing but a weapon.

Bush didn't heal it, Obama didn't heal it, Trump isn't healing it.

And to be honest if you fell for the "Obama will heal it" mantra you are a gullible sap.  Similar to Trump "draining the swamp".

See here is where your logic is flawed, there are white people who are oppressors, however the class of oppression does not include all white people.  Until you can change your paradigm, and understand that the class we are discussing is racism, not white, we can move forward with eliminating methods and instances.    Trying to apply an illogical attribute to a class is only working for the problem, not against it.

Neal

When you look like the oppressor class and do nothing to shed that image and everything to reinforce it, yeah, it's perfectly legit to lump all white people together.

So just like all the white dudes that came before him?

So it's black people's fault.

What should black people do to improve race relations?

I mixed the whites and the yolks pretty well before the pour.  I think I'm safe.  Just in case, I'll set aside a half hour of my day later to hate myself.

But you favored the whites didn't you. Beat them a little softer..........................RACIST!

White people need to change.

AHhhh....now we are getting somewhere!  Although, you and I have been "somewhere" before and I believe it ended with you calling me a "racist".

SO....How can "white people change".  Be specific and brief.  Just one or two things.

Fixed for accuracy again :thumb:

Lol. If your solution to improving race relations involves black people doing something besides go on living, you fail.

How about dismantle all oppressive institutions like police, prison, and banking?

And there it is.  You are holding the race cards as a way to recruit for an end of socialism that has proven to never bring itself into the existance you preach.

Civilized...hell even uncivilized societies have these institutions.   And always will.  I find it bizarre you find banking part of the same institution as police and prisons (which are connected also.)

No, I am demonstrating an intersectional position on class struggle.

Your second paragraph demonstrates a fundamental misunderstanding of how the power structure operates.

Wrong on both.  You aren't going to be able to keep adjusting the narratives to get away from the debate with me.

SO, let's go simple(r) and stick with the original question, how can "white people change" to more accomidate blacks (change that to a less offensiver term if you feel triggered)?  Let's take your example of "banking".  Or, you pick ANY example.

Nope, class and race struggles are intertwined and inseparable. There will be liberty for all or there is liberty for none.

I know.  But he's still fun...and original about it.  I can see how low intellect "recruits" might find his viewpoinits "neat-O".  Hey, at least he doesn't jump right to calling people "racist".
