Anler
Interesting how we don't have money for stuff like social security or health care or college or veterans but man we seem to have all kinds of money for other countries and political charities and military weapons... Canada must not have those problems so they can just throw money wherever they want. Jesus loves you for that...

Jesus loves you for that... can't argue some of that, but where would you "draw the line" so to speak? we are an extremely wealthy nation and imo should be able to reach out and help fellow human beings. do we not contribute if we have 1000 homeless people? do people in general only donate money when everything in their lives are in "top shape"? someof these things could also be viewed as "investments". stopping certain diseases, illnesses, etc benefit the world, not just those being donated to. The way we excuse them from the true costs of their industry is the most expensive form of welfare there is. A more accurate cartoon would be to show a President handing out money while people watch. He'd give $1,000.00 to a banker, $1,000.00 to an oil exec. $1,000.00 to an arms dealer but when he hands $10.00 to a homeless guy everyone loses their shit and starts screaming about bootstraps and personal responsibility.
