Dyson Cordless Battery Adapters for Power Tool Batteries

Recommended Posts

Anyone here try one of the battery adapters to run a power tool battery on their dead Dyson sucky sucky wand?

I'm not buying this thing another replacement battery, so I'm thinking the cRyobi one.

Can’t you just buy a knockoff direct fit?

The original made it maybe 2 years, the 2 knock-off replacements haven't even made it 4 months each.

We’ve had a Dyson battery powered vac for probably 4 years, wife uses nearly daily with kids and dog. No issues with battery yet. :dunno:

So your wife has a sucky, sucky wand?

I’ve replaced mine with a knock off and so far so good, 2 years ago

Unfortunately it’s no longer listed on Amazon or I’d link it

Have you taking the dead battery to a batteries plus to see if the can replace the cells?  Carpenter in our club does that with his cordless tools.

We tried 2 different "brands" from the jungle website and both failed in short order.

Didn't think of that.  I'll have to check it out.

I got the adapter to run my 20v dewalt batteries in mine.  Works great and lasts a heck of a lot longer with a 6ah on it.

Good to know.  Probably going to throw the $25 at the Amazon adapters.

We bought an Amazon battery for the Dyson last fall - been good so far.  $100 cheaper than the Dyson.

Dyson's prices are horrible and as I've been reading, their battery life sucks on the replacements.
