Is the email address a one time thing to verify your account or we have to enter the account email every time we log on?

I went to log onto another sled site and the site software told me I need to change my password because the account has been inactive for more than 180 days. That site sent me and email to the email address for that account and I had to change the password for the account, guess its for site security reasons and verify you are the authorized user for the account.

I believe that you will need to use your email everytime when we switch to v5 in a few months.

I wonder if its going to be like some sites, you can use your username or email address and your current password to log on?

Invision is removing the username option in v5 for security reasons. There is already talk of possible work arounds. Time will tell.

It's better to try to get ahead of it instead of springing it on everyone at the last minute.

You can develop a workaround to keep things as they are. Most hate change after doing it this way for years  :pc:

This shouldn't be as big of a deal as most people know what email address that they used to register. Username and email logins have both been an option for a while now.

I'm sure that there will be a workaround of some sort before we even upgrade here. From what I have been reading the software is in Alfa stages now with some invited guests currently testing it out.

I was kidding with you with my last post, that is a jab at V.S. and stupid shit they do on their sites....

The forced password reset they did years ago if I remember correctly they gave well over 100,000 registered members a week to reset their password in the spring/summer.... :lolz:
