Hoping for fail. How sad.

Delinquency rates on discovery cards are above 5%. Deemed uncollectible. The last time this occurred was the lead up to 2008.

Sub-prime auto loans are seeing a similar delinquency rate.  6% or so.  It is at it's highest rate since it started being tracked in the mid 90's.  Normally under 2%.

Lots of squeezes on the middle class and lower middle class, and the auto and CC stuff are the easiest ones to ignore.

In case anyone is wondering, auto loan debt surpassed student loan debt in 2023...

Buy an ev.  They have been giving loan forgiveness in the form of a tax credit.

What is really wild in MN at least, the only way you can limit out on collecting the tax credits is selling enough cars the state considers you a dealer.  In theory, you could buy 6 and sell 5, collecting the tax credits the whole way.
