John deere rumor

Recommended Posts

Keep the date of August 27th on the calander. It’s farm progress show in Iowa. It’s huge a show. If jd does something with cat they will probably have it there

I can't imagine if Deere were to buy them, they'd relabel the sled line as Deere, but who knows.

I'd also expect something at Haydays before Farm Progress due to the nature of the business, unless they are relabeling them.

Edit: The Deere dealers in Redwood Falls, Montevideo, Glenwood, and Alexandria are all former Cat dealers.  I think Preston is still a BRP dealer, Little Falls maybe sold something at one time.

I couldn’t see Midwest ag or kibble giving a shit about having arctic cat.

I don't think any of them have sold them since the Crossfire and Firecat days.

I don't believe little falls ever sold sleds or atv. Aitkin was a cat and doo dealer until Midwest bought them.

According to the Snowest FB page, they have also been digging into this rumor.

The apparel screenshots were interesting, although maybe they've always had some kind of apparel referencing their old sleds :dunno:

I've never seen them do that apparel before.

Will they call it John cat or Cat deer?

Probably just gonna have to bring the el tigre and liquifire names back to have both brands

Probably not.

I know Midwest sold until the Crossfire and M days, I'm fairly certain Redwood Falls did too.  Not entirely sure about Montevideo.  End of the ZR days for sure, maybe into the Firecat days.

I remember seeing a bunch of sled and atv stuff on an online auction they had a while back.  Maybe it came from another location though and was centralized in Little Falls.

Country Cat too!

I know a buddy bought an old tractor on one of their sales this spring in plainview. Interesting side note I heard from a guy this weekend that C&B bought the Polaris dealer in Spirit Lake.

The biggest decision will be what green to pick. JD green or cat green?

@racinfarmer Kind of a weird thing for country cat to share… but this comment was on there corroborating the higher ups being there this week.

I wonder if they will change their name to country deer?

So I got thinking today. JD isn’t purchasing arctic cat. They could possibly be looking into buying the entire textron off road division and cat comes with it. Why would they do this? Because there is something they want. What if you could have an electric power system that can run any piece of equipment fully electric and you have the luxury of picking between diesel gen pack, a gas gen pack, or batteries and the only difference between the systems is what is plugged into it for power? I bet John Deere would love to have that. Who has been doing that for about 20 years and the ag industry is just catching up to it? Textron Offroad that’s who.

It surely isn't for liqueeeeefireass

Purchasing arctic cat would be like getting into the pwc market in the late 90s. Honda proved that was not a good idea

Well Honda (somehow) made absolute shit piles for jet skis. Speaking of jet skis I think they’re useless but I want an all red Daytona 1000 bad
