Moisture comes off the Pacific and creates copious amounts of snow for Alaska. Since Alaska is much colder than the lower 48 we will only keep getting more and more snow with climate change. Warming temps create more moisture. Our buffer between snow and no snow is much larger than the Midwest and east coast.
