Had my hands on some D12 715s this summer some, pretty impressed with how they run and are put together.

Nothing to celebrate.

They'd probably be happy to continue, but the complexity of the new emissions systems and the costs,  make diesels incredibly expensive to build, maintain and repair.

Guys up here are keeping old stuff on the road as long as possible because the new stuff is high tech junk.

I had some 80's and 90's vw diesels that went hundreds of thousands of trouble free while sipping fuel.

Granted they were less hp than my bikes of the day but I'd bring that simplicity back and it would sell.,
