It's all to do whatever they can to downplay American celebrations.  Around every holiday they put out some sort of negativity into it.

American holidays have become a time to reflect back on how poorly people have been treated in this country.

Oddly, the guys who got their limbs blown off or in a chair for this country are the ones you never see pissing and moaning about the mean ole  USA. :dunno:

Records are made to be broken….

https://www.livescience.com/planet-earth/antarctica/antarctic-sea-ice-reached-record-smashing-low-last-month

"In the midst of its winter growth phase, Antarctic sea ice has reached a record smashing-low extent for this time of year," NOAA staff wrote on Twitter. "Sea ice extent is approaching a half a million square miles below the previous lowest extent [for this day], observed in 2022."

Me thinking the oceans may become a little less salty:guzzle:

Overall, the long-term trend in Antarctic sea ice is nearly flat. (in contrast, the glaciers and ice sheets over land in Antarctica are losing mass.) The satellite record spans more than four decades, and although the ice has shown increasing and decreasing trends over portions of that record, few of those trends have been statistically significant. Year-to-year variability has dominated, especially over the last decade. Since the year 2013, Antarctic sea ice has exhibited its highest and lowest extents in the entire record—the highest-ever winter maximum occurred in September 2014, and the lowest-ever summer minimum was in February 2022. But the overall trend, as of early 2022, is close to zero

Gonna keep this one alive...Buckle up fellas. We are witnessing global warming as predicted 1st hand.... personally I think it's pretty "cool" to watch:lol:.... Looks like it may be progressing a little faster than they originally thought.

Still call bullshit on fossil fuels causing the alarming rate!!!

it’s warming but I bet even if we stopped fossil fuels all together 30 years ago we’d still be where we are today.

below normal temps here most of last weeks and most of next!

next year watch ocean temps will be colder than normal.

usually what happens when oceans are hot one year.

The experts actually say we’d have cooled like .4 deg C over the past 50 years in the absence of fossil fuels.  That’s basically why they thought there would be global cooling in the 70’s because all of the natural indicators were pointing to that hypothesis- they didn’t account for human influence.  So 100% of the warming that’s happened recently is fully due to human activity.  You can look it up if you don’t believe me.

And where would we be without fossil fuels…

On Monday, the average global temperature reached 17.01 degrees Celsius (62.62 Fahrenheit), the highest in the US National Centers for Environmental Prediction’s data, which goes back to 1979. On Tuesday, it climbed even further, reaching 17.18 degrees Celsius. The previous record of 16.92 degrees Celsius was set in August 2016.

How convenient.
