Ford part # please?

You do realize it cost $ to own and operate a brick and mortar store... don't you?

I can buy a tenderloin at the store and feed the entire family for less than a trip to McDonald's... not to mention a nice restaurant.

Just let him buy the Dorman part and he educate himself on why buying Dorman parts is a bad idea.  I'd go pull an OEM one from the scrap yard before I'd buy the Dorman version.

What'd the shipping cost from RA?  Im sure it's still cheaper, but on some stuff, you really gotta watch.  Like heavy brake rotors.

A friend of mine who has a shop for a living says certain brands of parts from RA are good, and some are not.  I thought Dorman was one he said to stay away from, but not sure on that.

Dorman also makes parts for the oems... and fix kits for OEM fuckups.... fwiw.  Generally though OEM is the way to go for durability and quality.  How much r&d, testing or QC goes into a knockoff part?

There’s a lot of Dorman stuff that’s just as good and far cheaper than OEM. For instance the one use fasteners for brakes and axles. RA also stocks a lot of OEM parts that have proven to be cheaper than dealers.
