Brexit has been devastating for small and medium size business owners in the U.K. My brother in law lost two of his three businesses. It killed cross border trade. Why? Is the EU punishing the UK for not wanting to be in their club? Is this how the EU "cancels" other countries who dare to leave?

I'm 10 miles from Lake Huron, on sand. If I get flooded we're all fucked. If you get dropped by your insurance company for water damage, best reconsider where you live. Lots of places up here are one and done. Insurance pays out one time, then they drop you. We have encroached on land we maybe should not have built on. Deep pockets are needed... Unless you throw out "climate change" That's every ones fault and we need to pay out to everyone including third world shitholes. I spent lots of time and money on drainage when I built my shop. Something biblical has to happen to flood my house or shop. Some of the drainage stuff I see on jobsites is comical. A little ditch here, a little grading there. Sump pumps only work when the water has somewhere lower to go.
