Gold Member BOHICA Posted February 9, 2023 Gold Member Share Posted February 9, 2023 They can pump oil in pipelines. Water pipeline should be fairly simple process to build and run.

Not like that harebrained scheme of sticking a giant straw in Lake Michigan. Not much different than building a city in a frigid siberian hellscape and having to import heating oil and gas. Platinum Contributing Member Skidooski Posted February 9, 2023 Platinum Contributing Member Share Posted February 9, 2023 Sure why not? It’s not like the Mississippi River level is dropping anytime soon build a desalination plant and pipe the water to the desert.
hayward
As long as they use solar powered pumps to get it there, I see no problem .

Booger Lake Mead as shallow as you think it is or you are, is still at 1044.28' feet deep as of August 2022.

Platinum Contributing Member Highmark Posted February 9, 2023 Platinum Contributing Member Share Posted February 9, 2023 (edited) Not gonna happen. Be cheaper to bring desalinized water over from the Pacific. Could make a deal with Mexico bring it from the Gulf of California. They get some water, we get water and no mountains to cross or at least much smaller ones. Could feed Phoenix on the way by. Would be better for TC to allocate and recover some cost byproviding materials into a project that is feasible and potentially able to see the light of day

Have Vegas fund the desalinization.
