Well,

Be interesting to see how much they bring.

The bulk of those Fox bodies sold for $20,000-25,000. Not big money but I'm sure Dennis paid alot less than that.  Even now you can buy low mileage Fox body converts for the $10,000 mark around here.

Well,,,,, maybe not any more.....lol

That's what I figured they would bring and to me, that maybe a little higher than they should be, but probably not a whole lot more than what they are worth.

This '76 Mustang Cobra II brought $38500. Not something I'd invest in.

Who the fuck bought this and never drove it? They were complete turds.

Yeah, I never have liked that style.  I rode in one once, and I wasn't impressed.   But, with that said, I happen to own a C4 corvette with the L-98 350 that really isn't impressive either  LOL

I test drove a black and gold 78 King Cobra when I was about 19 (1983-84) with the intent on buying but couldn't convince my parents to go along. Asking price was $3995. I ended up buying a bike instead which they hated even more.

This 1986 SVO sold for $33,000. I always thought they were interesting but what was the point in buying a 2.3L turbo when you could buy the 5.0 for less money? In reality, those cars were ahead of their time. The fact that they came with a 5 bolt wheel instead of the 4 bolt was cool. I knew a guy who bought one new. He was a mechanic and had great respect for the engineering that had gone into it.

Lot #1565.1 - This Mustang SVO is finished with Charcoal Gray leather performance bucket seats, a front air dam with integral fog lamps, and an 8000 RPM tachometer. It is powered by a 2.3-l EFI tubo-charged engine with intercooler backed by a 5-speed manual transmission. It features a flip-up sunroof, traction-lok axle, ari conditioning, tilt steering, premium sound, performance suspension with adjustable shocks, and functional hood scoops. This two-owner car has 3,124 original miles the actual mileage title. Window sticker is still on car, CARFAX included and Marti Reports 1 of 145 optioned like this car.

If I was to buy one it would be the black king COBRA.  Saw one at a show last summer and I gotta admit ....I didn't hate it.   I had a plain old 77 in highschool.

Ha,. Those 4 bolt metric rims sucked.

My mom bought a Escort GT new and we had a Capri RS , red.   I kind of liked the Capri, but no one wanted them either.

My mom and I shared an '81 Capri with the straight 6/auto. Dark Charcoal grey. I had it tinted, a nice set of Western wheels and BFG's on it. Pioneer Tuner III cassette deck with a 5 band EQ, 6x9's in a box and 3.5's in the dash......lol

Don’t forget that was all we had in those day....if you could find a 160 hp V8 you were living large. Top of the line 75 Vette was 165 hp and with the optional L82 205 hp......so a Mustang was right there....and I lived to drive Farrah....

Yup,. Most don't understand it is reality TV and not the real world.

It's real world.....it's silly but some of the prices these old junks are fetching are ridiculous. The classic car market follows the economy and given where the prices are now, we're due for a crash. My son works at a shop that deals these cars and some of the profit they have made is insane. Personally, I think the market for high HP supercars is a much better place to get value. 50 year old bondo buckets with fresh paint and bias plys does nothing for me. Give me 500hp in a good handling, refined car and I'm in.

The ones bringing insane money arent bondo buckets, those are the cars outside, like the corral at Auburn, most of these you cant build for what they're selling for

We just did a Dart GTS . full modern suspension and drive train (F I), custom interior, rims & tires. Brought 40,000.  good money for that car. I bet it would of brought double that if went across the stage at Barret Jackson.

I had a 77 Mustang II with the 2.0 liter. Was a total piece of shit. I hammered the shit out of it and it was ready for the scrap yard at 30k miles. I had to keep adding pennies under the valve lash adjustment bucket to keep it running. The cam wore down so fast it would lose power by the week. Traded it on a new 79 Sunbird with a 305 4 speed. That was a fun and capable car. Week after I traded the Stang, it burnt to the ground in the dealer parking lot. Mighta had some thing to do with the aftermarket stereo they said....... :snack:

I crashed into a woman at the mall with mine, about 25 - 30 mph. It crumpled up like wet card board.

One of the ones they killed it on was a 67 Mustang Convertible with original 260. Wavy body and some cheap Chinese trim, they paid $22k for 2 years ago, sold for $51k. Cadillac Biaritz or whatever, $31K in the spring $72k at Barret a couple weeks ago. That rig was good from far but far from good. Mickey mouse wiring and metal work from previous owner. Took it to the Owls head Maine auction this summer and it stopped at high 20s. Seen it like this before the last bubble burst. Chevelles that were $20-30k  suddendly were $60-70k. Same cars. Original matching cars were silly, Resto mods were cheap. Now anything goes it seems.

Always liked those. Guy that I worked with as a teen had a 65 ish with a 225 and push button shift AND a 69 with a 440. The 440 was insane. The 225 was a convertible with the back window missing. He would let me drive home from the jobs when I was 14-15 while he pounded beers.

Finished this one last summer.  It was a rough car.  Came from another shop, they painted it that horid lime green and it was in a hale storm ....the paint was blowing off it.  Came for a paint job left with rockers, quarters, wheel housings, floor.

My father inlaw had an old swinger with a 440 in it. I have a lot more appreciation for old Mopars now than I used to.  :bc:
