Vaccine ineffective on the lambda variant.

If you have the vaccine your antibodies don’t protect you at all against the lambda.  Even booster shots don’t help you if you get them.  Lambda cases are in increasing in the US as Biden leaves the country open and not locking it down.

In lab experiments, they identified three mutations in the Lambda variant's spike protein—called RSYLTPGD246-253N, 260 L452Q and F490S—that make it more resistant to neutralization by antibodies that are induced through vaccination. This makes the strain more resistant to vaccines than the original COVID-19 strain first identified in Wuhan, China.

Well, isn't that convenient. Lets invent another variant and tell people if they catch covid, get hospitalized or die, after being fully vaccinated, they can say those fully vaccinated people must have had the Lambda variant. Great way to cover up the fact their vaccines aren't doing shit.

First off, thank you for looking out for us vaccinated folk. It's people like you that are really helpful.

Second, I enjoy how the article starts out by saying "more resistant to vaccines and is highly infectious" and is then interpreted by you as "don’t protect you at all against the lambda." "More resistant" to "not at all" - good work.

Third, I hope this plays out better for you than your last public health announcement on delta.

The lambda variant was first detect in Peru in August of 2020.  Maybe think before just posting whatever pops into your head.

Not per day that would be a 7 day average.  And again we only know they had covid when they died . My mother in law died of covid . But zero respiratory issues before her death  at all . oh and she had been in hospic for 3 yrs but yeah covid lol

A 7 day average means there were 406 deaths over a 7 day period. 406 / 7 = 58 on average, per day.

I think Gamma but the strain wasn’t widespread enough so, CDC just decided to skip it and go to the next one that failed the vaccine.

Death counts are the main number. 

Hospital numbers matter somewhat- but can be fudged fairly easily. 

If nobody is dying ... life should be full normal for all.
