Good finish.  I think I'd have liked to see the 98 get his first win.  Mittler Brothers drag home 2 wrecked trucks.

Yeah I was pulling for Enfinger at the end...good racing though.

5-hour ENERGY ending NASCAR involvement

DENVER, Colo. (July 18, 2018) - Defending Cup Series champion Furniture Row Racing and driver Martin Truex Jr. are currently seeking sponsorship on the No. 78 Toyota for 2019 to replace 5-hour ENERGY, which informed the team it will be ending its NASCAR involvement at the conclusion of the current season.

5-hour ENERGY joined Furniture Row Racing in 2017, serving as majority primary sponsor on the No. 77 Toyota with Rookie of the Year winner Erik Jones, as well as a season-long associate and two primaries on the No. 78 with Truex during his championship campaign. In 2018, 5-hour ENERGY became the major co-primary on the No. 78 along with Bass Pro Shops/Tracker Boats for 30 Cup races.

The energy shot company has been a NASCAR primary sponsor for nearly a decade, including the last seven at the Cup Series level.

Here's a recent article about contract negotiations. Truex is probably looking to make some $$$$ at this point in his career. Hard for that to happen without major sponsorship  $$$$.

Point is that sponsors are bailing as nascars popularity declines.

The current defending cup champion, and 7 time are both losing major sponsors at the end of the season. I'm sure both teams will find sponsorship, but will the new sponsor for the 48 car pay HMS the same money that Lowes has been spending?

Back to grass roots racing...these guys think theyre elitists in their million dollar coaches....Truex is one of the nicer guys...his net worth is north of 30 million....Danica is 70+

Somethings wrong with that picture imo.

Tons of rumors of Truex  making a move to another team .  What top tier team that has solid funding that can boot a driver , Gibbs - who's out ? , Hendrick - who's out ? , Stewart - Hass , who's out ?  ( Kurt Busch ?? ). Every other team is a second tier or worse. imo.
