What do the big sleds use in snow drags?

As many ice picks as you can fit on there!

I rode my 600 etec for years without studs. But anything with big power needs them if you plan on hooking up.

Yep, not the big paddle tracks that some might expect.

Something more along the lines of this.

Well unfortunately, i dont get to dictate conditions.

And although i would consider a 1.5, the loss of top speed would definitely bother me.

Put a 1.5 on my 850 it lost maybe 2 mph off the top end but gained everywhere else. The midrange traction makes up for any loss in top speed IMO.

i considered the new storm for this year, and could have lived with that loss of speed, but at 130, a 1.5 or 1.75 is a bigger loss than 2 mph.

i had a new rip II sitting here though so that's what went on

That's not an explanation.

What exactly would be "proper"?

Lets use my sled for example. Turbo 1100, 325 horse, 137x1.25 ripsaw 2 with 5 studs per row, high speed trail riding.

What unstudded track would have more traction?

Idicocy to be tail riding a 325 horse sled.  :news:    thats a lake racer where studs are needed.

I guess this is not just for trail riding. LoL

Yes at a buck thirty a 1" with enough studs is the ticket if all your looking for is big top end mph

153” or longer cut down with more studs than you have hair seems pretty common

That but use a cat attak 20 if you can find one. Hook like a cat on a screen door
