State and Federal laws are requiring Power companies to decarbonize, meaning less coal plants.  Just because trump likes coal, it was already started by obama.

Obama had a goal to bankrupt coal and he had 8 years to enact anything to do that.  You can't just change that in 3 years.

Have you ever been near a coal plant? It takes barges of coal to run them. And coal is the dirtiest stuff you ever came across. We have done demo jobs on old coal burners and coal storage and handling equipment. It doesnt matter how much clothing you wear, the fine dust gets in your skin and stains it black. It is nasty dirty shitty stuff. This is like caveman technology.

Oh you got some of that new nice clean coal?

Listen dummy....all coal is different. Volitility and grade make a big difference as does the grind. The coal in the steel mills that is used for carbon injection doesnt get anything dirty. You can  grab a handful and rub it on you and it barely leaves a stain.

Oh well then you have some of that nice clean coal. The stuff they used here in the plants gets everything pretty dirty. And they ship it in giant barges down the stinky shit canal. Looks like the natural gas via pipeline is working much better.

And?

Well it is a lot like raking leaves. Does not matter how much you rake your own yard if your neighbor does not clean up his yard the wind will put them back in your yard. At the current pace I would say in this next decade the world as a whole will burn more coal than ever not less. No matter what happens to a coal plant here in the states now it will only be a few years before demand reopens the mine.

China has zero pollution laws for coal. Pollution in China kills 1.6 million people there. Yeah more coal plants...

We had a guy in my field service group spend a month over in China putting in a black start unit. He came home and went straight to the office from the airport. Took his car keys and wallet out of his luggage and proceeded to throw the rest of his clothes and luggage in the dumpster out behind the shop. Said he wore a paint resperator for most of his time over there.

That has nothing to do with what I said. Energy producers are moving away from coal because there are better options
