We had a guy in my field service group spend a month over in China putting in a black start unit. He came home and went straight to the office from the airport. Took his car keys and wallet out of his luggage and proceeded to throw the rest of his clothes and luggage in the dumpster out behind the shop. Said he wore a paint resperator for most of his time over there.

They lose almost as many people mining the coal :flush: life is worth nothing in that yellow cesspool of slant fucks :bigfinger:

That has nothing to do with what I said. Energy producers are moving away from coal because there are better options

Sure in the states and some of Europe but China and others are adding them faster than they get torn down. China still makes new steam trains.

In the United States, more than 90 percent of coal use is in power generation. However, coal is experiencing fierce competition from low-priced natural gas and ever-cheaper renewable power. Over the last decade, the United States has seen a 40 percent decline in coal-fired generation, owing to lower coal plant utilization rates and plant retirements. Flat electricity demand compounds the challenge for coal.

State and Federal laws are requiring Power companies to decarbonize, meaning less coal plants.  Just because trump likes coal, it was already started by obama.

Obama had a goal to bankrupt coal and he had 8 years to enact anything to do that.  You can't just change that in 3 years.

Yes and no. The reason coal is dying is simple economics. Other fuels are cheaper.
