But on the Max, the regulator handed nearly complete control to Boeing, leaving some key agency officials in the dark about important systems like MCAS, according to the current and former employees. Sounds like typical Trump and Republican stuff. Cut red tape, put profits ahead of everything else. Plane was approved in 2017. That's Trump's time. Exactly.....who approved this? Regulators just don’t do this on their own.
Fireball 440
About Boeing and the faulty AOA sensor, it wasn't just Boeing it was the vendor of the part. We use the same vendor and the FAA grounded our fleet because of it.
Fireball 440
I was at Boeing in Seattle yesterday. The Museum of Flight is next door, spent 5 hours there.

They fucked this up the moment they took that shortcut. Funny how right wing people always point to government fuck ups as proof that the government should back off and trust business. yet the Exxon Valdez , Gulf oil spill, 2008 recession, Bernie Madoff, hundreds of pipeline spills, and this Boeing disaster never has them blaming capitalism or calling for more government regulations. Seriously! I’m surprised she didn’t blame this on the “climate crises” and preach how Al Gore predicted this plane’s flawed system. Prolly start another separate thread about it. MC in yet another TDS rage starts a thread to try and blame, ummm....Trump? Turns out, it’s another government regulator money grab that doesn’t do their job....gets owned, BarbieHands comes in and doesn’t know what is going on, shoots his own face off. Another day in the FSCE!!!!

racer254
It's quite hilarious when the liberal bullshit narrative backfires on the op. Government regulators skirting their jobs and still getting paid. Astonishing.

You are making the Republican argument without even realizing. If the government does a poor job of enforcement of the current set of laws and regulations what makes you think they will do a better job when there are more laws and regulations? Republicans are for less resources. Therefore less people to do the job. They want to cut alll departments and want to trust industry to police itself. They also want to limit losses that industry can sustain. The protect the oil industry by limiting their liability, the protect the banks and the investors.
