Legend
BTW We were in Vermont last year. Bought some white cheddar at some little place on some scenic road (forgot all the details shit), anyway I loved it. Nice to try different stuff.

We really only went to Salem in Mass for the day, and spent the night somewhere a little south of there. Actually other than Salem, we really just drove through places to PA. Didnt spend much time in CT either. Only spent a day and a half in VT, but 3 days in Maine. Maine is cool, and the Lobster was amazing (had a $100 lunch at some place on a pier as they were bringing them in fresh, I think it was near Acadia Park), but next time we will spend more time in VT and NH. We were just on the southern end of NH. We will skip PA next time too. Wife is from NY, so we did all the adrondack stuff. I had never been in the NE before. Its a cool area.

Maine has an awesome coast , cant be beat. The interior can be kinda boring except for western and northern Maine. Ya should try it in the winter sometime. Sledding in Northern Maine is as good as Quebec.
1jkw
Vermont has many award winning cheeses, I think they are pretty highly rated by the cheese snobs too.

Mainecat
There’s a place in Barrington, NH called Calefs that sells a Vermont cheddar called “Rat Trap” cheese that’s awesome. They have been selling it since the early 70’s. http://www.calefs.com/shop/pc/home.asp
