And higher wages and insurance costs are a driver for it. The average min wage increase advantage only lasts 10 months. After that prices rise to offset it.. But the insurance companies are still making more and those with fixed incomes still have less buying power. So no need to dress it up as a min wage increase. Call it what it is. Actually I generally don't completely oppose local based MW and have stated that on here a number of times. Its state or federal without exceptions that I have an issue with because from one community to the next can vary on how it impacts business. I also agree if you are to have a MW it should move with inflation. If you raise min wage for the lowest skill or easiest jobs, then wages for higher skilled or shittier jobs rise. Didn’t Besos just declare a company wide min wage of $15.00/hr. ?
