free trade does not work

The US needs to stand on its own and compete against the rest of the world in an open free market.  It would be far worse if the rest of the world decided to no longer buy American.

As soon as these shit hole countries we allow to export to us without tariffs pay properly and have the same high standards of environmental protection as we do I will support free trade. Until then, fuck them and the companies that offshore our jobs.

It does for him because he sells from Canada to the US market.

No I sell all over, but the US is the biggest component,  I have to compete globally.   Funny how the global company reps do not have the protectionist attitude.  Do think someone should buy a component twice the cost with half the reliability just cause its made in the USA.  Regardless of where an operation is most components come from global sources, that is just the way it is.

Buy what you want from where you want. But, tariffs should be imposed on goods from countries with slave labour and no regulations.

I don't have an issue with that at all, I agree with it actually, but that is not what America need to be concerned about.  I have done work in many countries and I can tell you some of them are royalling kicking ass with production efficiency regardless of wages and that is something not to be taken for granted or ignored.  It has little to do with wages.

I'm not sure this really surprises any American anymore.  Just another 2-3k jobs moved out of the country...no bid deal.

Free trade man, it's good for America. It means more jobs, and not the jobs that Americans don't want to do... I hope Trump builds a wall around Ford...
