ok so $200 a day includes everything.

I thought it was $200 cash out of pocket per day excluding mortgage ect..

I said from the beginning its everything.

$200 per day is not living large. That is a fact.

Good for Tom.  Looks like he make a lot of sacrifices as many do working in the oil field while have a stable supporting home front.  Plus being well disciplined saving for retirement.  Sad that is not typical, cause it should be.

i agree. he worked hard and made alot of sacrifices working up in alaska. i recall some of his stories about the the shit he needed to do to put bread on the table. that is not the argument here. holy fuck.

I bet my household income was less than yours for most of the last 20 years.

Yea. Laugh. $200 per day is nothing.

and havibg only $100k left and not being dead is a scary thought.

to you, i, and some others you are correct. maybe you should make it $250 a day for awhile and take in some reading comprehension courses?

No, the argument is you need 1/2 to more like 2/3 your pre-retirement income.  So for someone with 100K/year income, 6K a month is what you should target.

Youre always so worried what others have.

And never believe what they do have.

Did you piss your retirement up a tree perhaps.

You seem very disgruntled.

The average American (and Canadian) likely has less than 25K in total savings.  How does that look for retirement?

Take your income and take 2/3 of it and have a plan to get there.
