So which is it ...he sucks or  collusion?

IMO collusion.

After the NFL defenses figure kap’s game out he was a very ineffective quarterback at that point.  Hey wasn’t very good at the position if he wasn’t running.  The best thing for the defense to do is let him pass and not put to much pressure on him.

tbh he had opportunities offered to him after he chose to opt out in san fran so hard to call it collusion.  he certainly deserves skills wise to be at least a backup but is the baggage he brings too much to deal with for many times,  probably.  is that collusion or in this environment just good business sense.

Written before he started his protest.....

very much agree with it all.  Kaepernick was scrambling before he hiked the ball many times.  Once they tried to make him a pocket passer his game failed...  Kap and Rg3’s need to run 50% of pass plays to be effective.  I was a huge San Fran fan at one point...  dates back to Montana days.  When kap took San Fran well into the playoffs he was the leading rusher on the team...  when chip tried to make him pass accurately they went to shit.  Alex Smith was twice as good passer of Kaepernick.

Sorry...you are wrong and Chip Kelley is  a failed NFL coach and if  Kap completed 60% of his passes does that mean Alex Smith completed 120%?

Yep he had a bad season but the 49ers weren't exactly a solid situation after parting ways with Harbaugh..Tomsula, Kelley. Guess what....Nick Foles wasn't all that good when The Eagles picked him up but low and behold looked what happened after Wentz got hurt. I get it...you don't like him because of the anthem deal and he dared to speak his mind...just admit it.

I’m glad he got a Nike deal...  glad he is not playing for a team that I followed since a youngen.  He and Harbaugh took a Super Bowl caliber team and turned it to shit in a matter of one season.  Kapernick is prolly one of the best running quarterbacks to play the game...  but running quarterbacks don’t make good franchise quarterbacks cause they will be hurt early in their career.  Hence Harbaugh trying to turn him into a pocket passing well visioned smart quarterback.  That is not Kapernick.  He needs to scramble and toss it up and let the great receivers get underneath the pass and catch it.

You said Chip Kelly tried to make him a pocket passer.

Both coaches did...  cause the defenses figured San Fran out...  why they lost horribly after a great season.  Harbaugh had a soft spot for Kapernick that went back to neveda and tried to protect him after the Cinderella season.  Look what happens to running quarterbacks in the NFL...  pretty short careers.  Chip needs a smart quarterback for his style which the smart quarterbacks are pocket guys.

kelly failed in the NFL as a coach as a whole but he got  decent amount out of QB's including foles and bradford and Kaepernicks numbers under him were good in 16.  he had the opportunity to be a backup in Baltimore and passed which was dumb but so wasn't opting out of San Fran after 2 inconsistent seasons.   another decent year and standing for the anthem he'd prob be a starter on a bottom third team now.
