Goodbye Harley

Recommended Posts

Prob a good move for harley to cut more people and rightsize the company in a declining market.  For al the shit they get in the news they have 50% of the us market in big bikes but their sportscaster/street lines floundering and will prob sell better overseas so might as well make them there.  they already were doing that with the street bikes.

They want to double their European footprint. That’s the way to do it. The media wants to make a stink over it, but they probably were already going to do this. Now they can blame trump for it instead of getting whined at for moving jobs overseas of their own accord.

If you have a plant in Europe why build them here and ship them? Toyota building cars in the US should the Japanese people be pissed at Toyota??

MC you're a massive tool bag. Obama killed our economy and claimed manufacturing jobs were gone for good. He was wrong.

:lol:Just exactly how many bikes do you think they sell in Europe?   Doesn't say anything about domesticly sold bike production going anywhere.   Scare article.   Nothing more, nothing less.  Lots of companies produce closer to the point of sale.

Harley-Davidson says it plans to move production of motorcycles it sells in Europe overseas in response to growing trade friction between the United States and Europe.

ok I change my stance on this issue. Tarrifs that cause US companies to layoff American workers and move operations overseas are awesome.

What about all the value their shareholders lost today on the news?  That’s awesome too.

How about the $100 million Harley is going to absorb this year so their bikes are still competitive in Europe?  More winning.

Trade wars are good and easy to win
