  1. $50 a month wouldnt even cover the increases to my auto and home insurance.
  2. Then there is only 1 atv out there worth buying. 101 HP with Fox shocks and power steering.
  3. Glad to hear he is doing well. Broken bones will heal up and they are really good these days at putting things back together with plates and screws. Arm and hand strength can be an issue as you get older. Might want to look for something like a Sportsman 570 trail that has power steering. We find EPS is the best feature on an ATV for trail riding long distances. Obstacles like rocks and ruts can send you in a different direction in a hurry!
  4. This is all because you took that deduction on your taxes last year. An anti-vaxxer and a tax dodger, absolutely no concern for anyone else.
  5. Great weekend of riding with @X2700 Not as much fun as on sleds but it's close with these new machines. It sure is nice to stop without freezing!
  6. @Potatodigger1 was parked across the isle from this guy. Not much interest in the swords but he did sell quite a bit of the freeze dried candy. After buying 12 gallons of oil last year and not getting a single ride in, I didn't have much on my list this year. Bought some dock bumpers for my SeaDoo and a few tools for the garage and that was about it. Bumpers are $130 plus tax from SeaDoo and I got them brand new in box for $50. That paid for me to get in anyways. $50 just to walk in the door now. $20 to park and $30 admission is getting a little steep.
  7. Cat didn't build race sleds again this year?
  8. Split chicken breast has been my jam this summer. 450F on the pellet grill for about 45 minutes. I hit these with the Jaccard and threw in a brine for 30 minutes.
  9. Here is my crew. From left to right, Kip, Emmie, and Lu.
  10. She wanted to ban fracking. Will that make prices go down?
  11. An it's an Aussie, probably smarter than most people on this board.
  12. It's on prescription drugs. Have you noticed the boogeyman with her is always business and government is the solution? Food prices, drug prices, housing, etc. https://www.c-span.org/video/?c5128536/user-clip-rd-patents
  13. Condo associations in Florida have been underfunding their repair and maintenance funds for decades. With the collapse a couple years ago there is more scrutiny on inspections and making sure the funding is there to carry out the repairs. It sucks for the people who live there but it's correcting a problem that has gone on for decades. Add in the costs of insurance increases the last couple years and it's rough.
  14. I'm already wiping my groceries down with bleach.
  15. This is frightening.
  16. The only thing I've found about the Stellantis products is the navigation systems are nice. In a rental Jeep I just connect my phone to the vehicle with a usbc cable and all of the features work. Then when I get back in it will automatically connect via bluetooth. Compare this to a Toyota where I have to download an app on my phone. F all that, give me simple. Their main problem right now is they went "upmarket" during Covid. They jacked the price of their vehicles and mostly built loaded vehicles. Even a couple years ago they had inventory stacked up on dealer lots. Then they continued to build. Now they need to transition to fleet vehicles sold at big discounts to keep their factories open.
  17. Real Clear Politics 5 way race has Trump down. Trump is still up in many of the swing states though. I think this election will go down to the wire. The 2020 election was decided by a few hundred thousand votes in swing states even though Biden won the popular vote by over 4%. Have to wait until after the Democrat convention to get a better idea if the Harris bump is real or just because she was the new candidate. She hasn't had to defend any of her positions yet.
  18. The nice part about Harris picking Walz for a VP is the rest of the country waking up to how awful he has been for Minnesota. She didn't pick him to be a moderate either, she picked him to be a lapdog for her far left agenda. And he's happy to do it while talking about the importance of the 2nd amendment for hunting.
  19. Here's my early retirement money.
  20. The part where even Leslie Stahl cracks a smile and starts laughing kills me.
  21. Yup, sold half his AAPL. He is taking the 5% interest rate and waiting for some deals. In a recession people buy utilities and consumer goods, not smart watches and $1000 cell phones.
  22. That's what happens when we award merely existing instead of actual productivity.
  23. I suspect you are right about that. Look at the money they pumped into the economy back in 2020. They will just take a page out of the same playbook next time. Other than some cash, too much cash actually, I'm 100% in US equities. Spending and inflation will continue to push up equity prices long term.
