If people are prone to coughing, fentanyl is preferred because it doesn’t cause a histamine release, which causes bronchospasm.

Fentanyl is a pain medication. It is used in combination with a benzodiazepine such as Midazolam for conscious (moderate) sedation in procedures where general anesthesia or deep sedation is unnecessary. It can also be used as a continuous IV drip for people who are intubated and sedated using other meds, propofol, dexmedetomodine, ketamine. If the coughing you are talking about is from an endotracheal tube, then Fentanyl does nothing to combat that. When people are intubated for surgery, they are given a paralytic so they don't fight the tube being placed. Usually succinylcholine, vecuronium, or rocuronium depending on the length of procedure. Gas is also used in general anesthesia, sevoflurane, isoflurane, desflurane. Fentanyl is a great medication for pain when used correctly. It has a quick onset and short half life so it works quickly and gets metabolized fairly quickly depending on the patient's liver status.

I'd love to have a new RXC as a spare and as a sled my son or daughter could ride, but not biting. I don't need it and I'll keep my ZR 8 for them when I possibly get something next year. Good looking graphics though, I will say that.

Mentioned this somewhere before, but group of 11 of us got lost on Gogebic one night in a bad snowstorm. We were staying on the East side of the lake about 2/3 of the way up. Left the lodge (one guy lost his headlight) and rode about 20 minutes when here comes the lodge again, on our right. We did one big circle. Left again and after a bit, found some slush in a little bay just south of the Root Cellar. Had no idea where we were and couldn't see shit. I didn't have cell service but had a compass on my phone so we finally found the Root Cellar and rode the road the rest of the way back. It was a bit spooky, especially for the older guys that don't like riding lakes!
