Well lets be honest here....know one has made more engine changes then polaris.

True, not defending any brand bud.

Doo looks like the 850 could be good.

The axys 800 is finally a great motor and lasting.

The c tec 600 is strong.

All good for everyone if u ask me.

Dam prices are so hi though

dealer cost is what? 300 bucks off?

I could have got a 165 x 2.5 with EStart for $12,583  MSRP was 14,299  = $1716 savings as an example smart ass

That is a bullet proof motor for the most part.

Have dealt with these in a fleet I maintain for a tour outfit.....all the 600 doo engines (sdi and 500ss) have all gone to 12,000 - 15,000 miles (excluding one broken crank @ 9,000) before they were sold, still running good....never opened up.  You can't ask for anything better than that from a 2-stroke ridden by someone that doesn't own it.

How many miles you got on your cat?

I don't brag up miles on two strokes and beat my chest which one can get more.

All two strokes have the same common problems. It's called heat, friction and lack  of lubrication . I could go on about how the di has obvious problems vs sdi, or carbs. But why?? Some guys just gonna post he got 12,000 miles.

OK,Time to loosen up.:joint:

Not bullshit.  I could post a copy of the paperwork, but I don't want to get anyone in trouble...dealers eyes only.  I don't have the financial means to take advantage of the opportunity, but I have two customers of mine that did.  All I can say is I have a copy of the price sheet the dealers received from BRP and that was the price I could have got one for.....no mark up over dealer invoice.

What model did you order???  I can tell you what your dealer paid for it

I think polaris has claimed their 800 is more reliable every yr since 2010

I do not understand why anyone would buy an 800 from polaris. Sledders sure are suckers for marketing hype.

Any two stroke@ 5000 miles should have a top end and @ 10,000 miles, a bottom end.

Especially the di motors

I wouldn't touch a top end under 12,000 miles on a Cat.

That all depends on how you run them?

Any two stroke ran under heavy loads and over heating will have to be checked(eg. racing)

The only true test is a leak down and compression test

running an afr/fuel controller helps longevity of any two stroke, I don't care if it's a cat,doo or poo

bragging up mileage on a two stroke is just plain dumb and senseless

I say the same thing about someone saying every 2S needs a top end at 5K miles

And the damn thing will take my 600sdi out of the whole with Jaydin running it!

But I catch and pass after a little bit!

Usually I can't race on snow though..

Good to see you back on here and still kicking .

What sled are riding these days ?

I would buy an Arctic Cat Turbo, and boost it til I had about 250 safe and reliable HP, cause I enjoy having all day orgasms while riding......

I had to get a lighter sled so I picked up a nice 06 600sdi-x.

It's alright but I still like the wifes xp better.

if I knew i had a few more years ridding I would like to get a 900 doo.

Thing was I sold the apex then asked the wife what she wanted for her doo....she said she was not going to sell it! That she would ride with her brother or watever and leave me home..I'm like wtf?

So I bought another..lol.

Good for you. I get frustrated waiting for decent conditions, but love it when they finally arrive and I get a chance to get out with all my buddies.

I still own a 2007 Apex Rtx which I will be selling in the fall, but all last year I rode a boosted 2013 turbo cat, and loved it.

It was very reliable on belts, with lots of extra power. Kinda nice to be able to wheelie at 60-70 mph. LOL
