Things change dramatically once their fuel runs out. Unfortunately with what we've seen with LE from local to the top I don't think they could be trusted. Military would likely be the same. If people are really concerned about something like this occurring you're best to focus on you and yours.....nobody else. I honestly don't think our current LEO and military would survive intact. There's too much against them and once they realize that the heavily armed population isn't going to play around with fascism goons, they'll make choices. Honestly, both LEO's and military I know of aren't interested in laying out martial law orders from these clowns. There will always be a few though but, they'll be dispatched easily. Funny. I've got three of my old "hard hittin' niggas" coming up this way for our yearly (mostly) shit show we've been doing since we got out of the military. We're going into Canada for fishing instead of the gulf this time. We're all gonna look like some washed up, bearded ex Black Water, oakley wearing cronies rolling into the border. I bet if we had a Humveee...they might just surrender their country. Point is, we'll have some interesting conversations about all this. Chance of us making it successfully across the border? 3 in 5. 2 Quote

I'm not a prepper in the slightest but I do live 7 miles from any town whatsoever. I do have guns, ammo and about 6 months of food for 8-10 people. River that runs within 50 yards of my house and plenty of game. As stated above a few hog confinements within a few miles. If I got solar which I plan to in the next 3-5 years and some seeds I'd be pretty set. I'm by no means putting solar in for anything other than eventually reduce utility bills but it would provide piece of mind. You wouldn't believe how many friends and family say to me even jokingly...."if the shit hits the fan we are coming to your place." I always respond "well you better bring plenty to the party or you're not welcome." Ammo people should have as a minimum. Note I do not have this much of any. Just think its what should be on hand. 5.56 5000 rounds 9mm 1000 .45 ACP 500 12/20 GA 2500 rounds in a variety mainly game loads and 00 buck. .22 lr 5000 rounds Edited October 16, 2024 by Highmark Quote

I've started amassing more 12ga ammo. I think this weapon may be the best bet....at first anyway. Nothing beats it at close range...and the fact these won't be fully dressed soldiers means it's take down, even at distance will be impressive. I'm overdue for a full inventory for sure. Quote

I'd think you'd be forced to "volunteer" for the cause if you weren't doing anything with it but protecting your own. Prolly given the choice to keep enough for protection/hunting or, give up everything (literally). Weird to think how this would all play out. History is a good indicator but these are certainly a bit different times right now. Guns and ammo were commandeered from citizens at the outset and during the US revolution. There wasn't much choice....well, kinda....just the two listed above. It's funny to see how many that puff out their chests and "won't comply" until they are really faced with a bad situation. Most almost always comply. Some choose death. It's all in how you want to go out I suppose. Some things are worth fighting for....others worth dying for. Many aren't. Quote

It's because its kill range is relatively short but, anything inside of 30ft, it's a fucking monster. And a good slug will bag the bad guys at 100 meters easy if you don't jerk. You still popping targets at a mile? Quote

Working on getting out to 2000 yards next Quote
